CHI Systems, Inc. is expanding its Fort Washington, PA development team with an entry-level Human Factors/Psychology Research and Design Associate. We are currently seeking a motivated, team oriented, and creative candidate who can excel in a small business/defense contracting environment.
Responsibilities
of the Position
CHI Systems is seeking a candidate that has experience in the field of Human Computer Interaction to assist in user interface design, usability testing, user documentation, and the development of training materials for a of new web-based military patrol planning, reporting, and intelligence analysis systems for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. This position is located at our Fort Washington, PA corporate headquarters. The ideal candidate would have a B.A. or M.A.degree in Psychology or Human Factors and be motivated to attain a graduate degree. The candidate will function as a technical member of an interdisciplinary team in a highly team-oriented environment. The candidate would benefit from strong mentorship and have the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the areas of user interface design, software psychology, cognitive modeling, training technology, and military science.
Skills, Education
and Experience
Requirements:
- A B.A. or M.A. in Psychology (emphasis in experimental, cognitive, or industrial psychology preferred),Human Factors or directly related discipline;
- Strong interest in Human Computer Interaction as a specialization;
- Strong writing and presentation skills;
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products;
- Exposure to any type of programming, web development, or training authoring tools a plus;
- Familiarity with military software systems a plus;
- Present or the ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance required;
- Must be a team player, detail oriented, and the ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Interest in perusing a graduate education in Psychology or Human Factors;
